We have made it to March, and what a transitional month it is.  We can already see the days getting longer, promising new beginnings, new vibrance, and new growth.  No winter lasts forever, and we can begin looking forward to the entrance of March & the birth of Spring.  There are signs of Spring everywhere, from clocking springing forward and tiny buddings sprouting up.  In excitement & anticipation for a month that offers hope, resilience, & reemergence, Cedar River Yoga has a bounty of possibilities.  Between our March Mindfulness project, steadfast classes, workshops, events, & package deals, there is certainly something for everyone to find and explore.

Join us on our journey of mindfulness as we transition from winter to spring.  Enjoy setting new goals and encouraging one another throughout the entire month of March.  You can post your goals (or keep them private), your motivations, & your successes!  There will be a poster in-studio for all participants to sign & track their successes.  

SATURDAY, MARCH 1ST: ADVANDING HATHA YOGA WITH JESSICA

SATURDAY, MARCH 1ST: ADVANDING HATHA YOGA WITH JESSICA
A special 2 hour class! You do not have to be "advanced" to take this class. Students will be led safely in the direction of deeper, more challenging poses to explore the next level of what they are curious about or already working on in class. Come have fun and play! We will explore spinal flexions, inversions, arm balances, and more.
1:45pm - 3:45pm | $30 in advance, $40 day of

FRIDAY, MARCH 21ST: SPRING EQUINOX SPECIAL EVENT: SOUND BATH & YOGA NIDRA WITH KEVIN
Yoga Nidra, often referred to as yogic sleep, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. Rest comfortably in savasana as you connect & journey through the layers of self via guided systematic meditation, breath awareness, & mental imagery. Pair your journey & exploration with a serene, beautiful, & powerful sound & vibrational experience via crystal bowls. Leave with a sense of wholeness, wonder, liberation, & a profound state of relaxation. Arrive early (doors open at 6:30pm.)
7pm | $35 in advance, $45 day of

SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH: BENDING YOUR SPINE WITH JESSICA
Join Jessica for an afternoon of exploring movements of the spine. You will learn how to bend the spine properly in backbends, forward folds, lateral flexions, & twists and be able to apply your knowledge to your regular asana practice & poses. We will break down and discuss a variety of postures. The afternoon will include a one-hour interactive workshop & discussion with a one-hour practice for all levels.

NEW CLASSES & SCHEDULE OFFERINGS
PRIMAL FLOW: ALTERNATING MONDAYS AT 8PM
Primal Flow incorporates Vinyasa and pairs it with a sense of play & determination! It's a full-body workout that combines asana, cardio, strength, & movement; a good way to burn calories! You'll move, work hard, try new things, all the while mastering skills you've been working on like stretching, strengthening, balance, endurance, toning, & flexibility. Primal Flow is a fast-paced & energetic style of fusion yoga, so give yourself space & grace to do your best!

YOGA & STRENGTH CONDITIONING: ALTERNATING MONDAYS AT 8PM
Focus on building strength while incorporating (optional) light weights for isometric holds, eccentric contractions, & concentric muscle movements. This class is a vigorous blend of using (optional) weights combined with traditional Hatha yoga postures, functional movement, Sculpting, & Vinyasa flows.

FOUNDATIONS OF YOGA: SUNDAYS AT 11AM
(Beginners Yoga!) Exercises & postures will be taught with functional movements for students to attempt poses. Variations & modifications for students at any level will be offered. Movements will be clearly explained with emphasis on clarity of how to move and engage your body safely & confidently.

ZOOM CLASSES
We are currently offering select scheduled classes at 6am & 12pm to have live-streaming options so that we can be here for you at home, on vacation, or wherever you may be! Please check the MindBody schedule for class options, instructions, and other details & updates. Virtual Students will be emailed a Zoom link to join class. Please remember to mute your microphones! Please note that Zoom will be cancelled if there are no in-studio sign ups. Thank you for your patience & understanding as we maneuver these new virtual endeavors!



SCHEDULE ADDITIONS & STUDIO UPDATES
-8AM CLASS: POPULAR REQUEST! Ask and you shall receive! We've added an 8am Flow class on Monday & Wednesday mornings!

-Tuesday & Thursday Nights NOW at 5:30pm & 7pm!

-Thursday 7pm Yoga Therapeutics is now 75 MINUTES!

-11am Sunday classes are back!

-6am Early Bird classes with Kayla have returned! These class times are offered on Mondays & Wednesdays. We kindly request online registration or cancellation by 9pm the night before a 6am class, including Zoom. (Please Note: Zoom will be cancelled if there are no in-studio sign ups.) If there are no registrations, class will be canceled at 9PM the night before. This will help us serve our growing community with more precision. We appreciate your understanding & compliance!

-Our library full of wisdom in the forms of rentable manuals, books, CDs, & other literature and media is at your fingertips! Please feel free to browse through our literature & media and seek knowledge. Ask us how to rent and take items home for your exploration! Two week rent time, with option to re-rent. (And enjoy our complimentary tea from our tea cart!)

-The 2nd classroom is available for rent & the available schedule is starting to fill up! We utilize this intimate space for workshops & special events, and it is now open for private lessons, 1-on-1s, trainings, & other collaborations and rentable space options! Please inquire with one of the Jess's if you have any questions, suggestions, or would like to schedule something with us.


YOGA RETREATS:
Patagonia, Chile in March 2025!
An incredible once-in-a-lifetime journey! Retreat includes everything; hotel travel accommodations, wilderness bungalow, backcountry wilderness flights, meals, yoga classes, all expedition equipment & yoga gear, wonderful community, trained outdoor guides, and Jessica Winters as your host! With emphasis on adventure, yoga, hiking, white water rafting/kayaking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, & even horseback riding! There will also be a hot tub and onsite massage therapist, with opportunities for journaling, star gazing, music, education, safety, food, fun, awe, wonder, and breathtaking beauty & imagery. No experience necessary.
