Yin Yoga Teacher Training

starts April 17, 2026
50 Hours

Welcome to the Yin side of yoga teaching! Yin Yoga focuses on the body's connective tissues and the mind's tranquility. It is a subtle yet powerful practice that targets the body's connective tissues in a way that other practices cannot do, furthering the body's range of motion. It also promotes a sense of mental calm and overall relaxation. CRY's in-person Yin Yoga Teacher Training Program is developed and taught by long-time Yin Yoga Teacher Audrey Benton.

Participants will have the tools to teach Yin Yoga at the end!

Participants can expect to learn from this training:

  • A deep understanding of the practical benefits of Yin Yoga, enhancing personal wellness and equipping participants to share these benefits with others.

  • Comprehensive context and definition of this unique practice, distinguishing Yin Yoga from Yang styles, as well as from Restorative Yoga and Gentle Yoga.

  • The history of Yin Yoga before the 15th century, as well as the modern tenets of Yin Yoga.

  • An immersive practice of Yin Yoga.

  • Posture clinics that break down the twenty most common Yin Yoga asanas, including some lesser-known asanas and their modifications.

  • Coverage of counter exercises, which are a critical component of Yin Yoga practice. We also explore the introduction of Ghosh Yoga Lineage Yoga Therapeutics as counter exercises.

  • Functional anatomy appropriate for the practice of Yin Yoga, so that participants may graduate with a better understanding of human anatomy. As part of our anatomy study, we examine human similarities and variances.

  • All the necessary tools to teach Yin Yoga skillfully to others.

  • Practice teaching of Yin Yoga classes.

  • How to move forward as a Yin Yoga Teacher.

  • A certificate upon satisfactory completion.
