Restorative yoga is a practice of rest &
relaxation. The goal of restorative yoga is
not to stretch or strengthen muscles, but
to activate the parasympathetic nervous
system, shifting the body from “fight or
flight” to a state of calm & recovery.

Cedar River Yoga will provide
bolsters, blankets, straps & blocks.
If you are able, please bring up to 4 clean
towels and/or your favorite throw blankets.
You can even bring an eye mask too.
If you have your own props such as
bolsters, blocks, or straps, you are
welcome to bring anything you like!

This 40-hour Yoga Nidra Teacher Training at Cedar River Yoga is designed to expand your understanding of rest, meditation, and awareness through one of yoga’s most accessible and transformative practices.

CRY's in-person Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Program is developed and taught by long-time Yin Yoga Teacher Audrey Benton.

This class is appropriate for intermediate to advancing students with a basic foundation and curious about learning harder poses.

You do not have to be "advanced" to take this class.

Students will be led safely in the direction of harder poses to explore the next level of what they are already working on in class! Come have fun and play!

We will explore back bends, spinal flexions, inversions, arm balances, and more.

Join us for a calming practice that is specifically designed for those seeking wellness and deep relaxation, combining Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

In this special event, we start with Yin Yoga, a practice focused on long-held floor poses that target the body's deep connective tissues. As we sink into each pose, you'll experience a stillness that invites stress release, enhances flexibility, and cultivates self-awareness.

Following the Yin Yoga session, we will transition into Yoga Nidra, also known as "Sleep of the Yogis." In this guided meditation, you'll be led into a state of profound relaxation while maintaining awareness. This practice is designed to reduce anxiety and promote healing and restoration at all levels of your being.

The Ultimate Reset: Yin, Restorative, & Yoga Nidra

Give yourself the ultimate gift of time and stillness. This extended 2.5-hour event is a comprehensive journey through the layers of your being, designed to melt away physical tension and quiet the mental chatter.
Our journey includes:

• Yin Yoga: We begin by targeting the deeper connective tissues—ligaments, joints, and fascia. Through long-held, floor-based stretches, we’ll improve flexibility and clear energetic blockages.
• Restorative Yoga: Transition into total effortlessness. Using bolsters, blankets, and blocks, your body will be fully supported in passive poses to signal your nervous system that it is safe to relax.
• Yoga Nidra: We conclude with "Yogic Sleep." This guided meditation leads you into the threshold between wakefulness and sleep, offering a level of cognitive and physical reset that a standard nap simply can’t match.

Open to all levels. No previous yoga experience is necessary—just a desire to let go.

Solstice Sun Salutes and

Yoga Nidra Sound Bath

Welcome Summer!
Join us for a very special experience. A Sun Salutation Experience and a Crystal Bowl Sound Bath with Kevin for the summer solstice. 

Come move your body and enjoy the sounds of the singing crystal bowls followed with a Yoga Nidra meditation. Explore relaxation, letting go and connecting with yourself. This is Yoga for the Mind. The class is a structured, guided meditation that teaches imagery and body scanning. This practice is for all levels and is known as Yogic Sleep.

Come enjoy this special experience of yoga movement and flow when paired with a crystal bowl sound experience that will set the tone as the season changes.

Bring a mat and dress in comfortable clothes. Blankets and props will be provided or you can bring your own!

Please arrive early. Doors will be open at 5:30pm.

Please join Brother River every Wednesday at 7:45pm for mindful meditation class. 

This class is donation based only. Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds and all are welcome. 

All donations will benefit those in need of yoga scholarship here at Cedar River Yoga for any future classes.

Wilderness Adventure Yoga is way more than a yoga retreat. This is a life-changing, nature submerging, forest bathing, river running journey and yes- a yoga retreat! While daily yoga will be part of the experience, there's great opportunity for so many activities like soaking in hot springs, hiking to native sites with petroglyphs and waterfalls, good old-fashioned R&R and unplugging from technology. So, if you like the idea of bald eagles flying through your camp on cue, well this is the place! 
 
We'll camp in forests of Ponderosa Pines, on sandy beaches in tents on plush foam pads- OR even under the stars if you prefer! Our trips are all inclusive from planning, equipment and gear, from breakfast-to-order daily, with the prescribed amount of days of happy hour and a gourmet dinner menu. Anything you would need is likely to already be in your closet. You just have to show up with your great smile and arrive ready for some adventure.
